Communicable disese

A communicable disease is one that can be passed directly or indirectly from one person to another. An infectious agent, such as a virus or bacteria, is what causes it. Modes of Transmission Communicable diseases can be transmitted through: Direct transmission-this can be through either direct contact or droplet spread. Airborne transmission occurs through droplet nuclei-the small residue that results from evaporation of fluids from droplets emitted by an infected person. Indirect transmission occurs when the infectious agent is transported within contaminated inanimate objects called fomites.
